Membership Eligibility

Any person(s) who are current or retired employees of the United States Government who reside in the Lee, Collier, Hendry or Charlotte counties, their immediate families, and any association of such employees.

How We Began

The Lee County Postal Employees Credit Union was originally chartered in 1956.  The credit union received its first member on July 18, 1956 for a membership fee of $.25 and an initial deposit was made for $5.00 to open the new account. 

At the 10^th Annual Membership Meeting, the credit union had 220 member-owners with share balances totaling $78,509.59 and loans outstanding totaling $75,066.16.  There were 76 member-owners in attendance.
